Our name is Grey Dey. We have been making art and writing all of our lives. We have been based in San Francisco since 1995, and we are currently a PhD candidate in Art Education at UIUC. We hold our MFA from UIUC’s School of Art and Design. Our practice is broad in “connect the dots” research, in areas including Queer Studies, Gender, Systemic Racism, Classism, Democracy, Speciesism, Environmental Studies, and Utopian Futurisms. For Roborant Report, we seek to write about art that contributes to the urgent conversations around inclusion and equity, alternatives to capitalism, and global environmental sustainability.
