Erik Barrios-Recendez (b. 1988) is a queer Mexican-American multidisciplinary artist, curator, and arts journalist from Los Angeles, currently living and working in San Francisco. In his work, he often explores themes of cultural erasure.
Erik studied at UC Berkeley, was an artist-in-residence at Art Share LA, and is a current studio artist at Root Division. Erik has shown at the Vincent Price Art Museum, the Worth Ryder Gallery, the Berkeley Art Museum, the Pacific Film Archive, the Boone Family Art Gallery, the Wignall Art Museum, and Self Help Graphics.
