John Felix Arnold (b. Durham, NC) is an interdisciplinary artist, educator, and writer based in San Francisco. He holds an MFA from the University of North Carolina (UNC) Chapel Hill, and a BFA from Pratt Institute. He has exhibited and presented projects with SFMOMA, Nasher Museum of Art, BRIC, 21c, and Tiger Strikes Asteroid NY. He has been a resident with the Vermont Studio Center, Cassilhaus, Duke University’s Rubenstein Art Center, and the Wassaic Project. He is a Mellon Foundation Southern Futures Fellow, Vermont Studio Center Fellow, and UNC Teaching Fellow. He has received an International Sculpture Center Achievement Award, UNC Wilson Library Incubator Award, two Duke University Arts Commissions, Foundation for Contemporary Arts Grant, and Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs Artist Grant. His work is in collections with UNC Chapel Hill and Duke University. He has written for the Roborant Review, Coastal Post, and Border Crossings Magazine.
